Seawalls

What is the lifespan of my seawall?

Depending on build quality and the location, the average life expectancy of a seawall can range from 50 to 60 years.

What type maintenance is required on my seawall?

Virtually little, to no maintenance is required. As long as any noticeable cracking, shifting or erosion is repaired as soon as possible on the seawall.

Docks

What types of decking for docks do you offer?

Pressure treated wood or composite decking such as Tandeck or Azek are both available. In addition, we offer poured in place of custom concrete docks.

What maintenance is required on my dock?

Concrete docks and Composite decking are virtually maintenance free, except for routine cleaning with a mild detergent, water and brush. Light power washing is recommended on the lowest setting. Pressure treated decking can be treated if the homeowner desires with a water sealer product.

Boat Lifts

How often should I service my boat lift?

We would recommend a minimum of once a year, depending on usage, weather, and care.

How do I know the capacity of my boat lift?

Most boat lifts display the capacity of your lift on the specs stamp or plate located on the lift.

Permits

What is the process for permitting?

Marine Contracting Group will take care of the entire permitting process for its customers.

How long does it take to get a permit?

Depending on the type and size of job, a permit can take anywhere from 30 to 60 days. If further time is needed the homeowner will be advised.
